to obtain preferential rates for outgoing as well as incoming travel with major international
carriers for your domestic and international travel.
MOVEMENT OF SHIP'S CREW
Grindrod Travel
specialises in the movement of ships' crew. Due to the volume of crew that we move we have been
able to negotiate excellent Marine Fares and have dedicated staff to facilitate this
business.
VISAS
Grindrod Travel will
assist in obtaining all necessary visa requirements. Our Head Office has a dedicated Visa
Consultant who is in constant contact with all Embassies ensuring that the most current
requirements are available are available at all times.
HOTELS/CAR HIRE
Grindrod Travel has
negotiated special Corporate Rates with certain Hotel Groups and Car Hire companies which
customers can benefit from when making bookings.
TECHNOLOGY
Reservations are made
through the AMADEUS multi access global reservation system which is linked to a complete
mid and back office accounting programme. Grindrod Travel have also acquired additional
software that we use in conjunction with Amadeus to enhance the travel
consultants portfolio of services.
EMERGENCY AFTER HOURS SERVICE
An emergency after-hours
contact telephone number is available. This service is operated by a dedicated senior
consultant who is available from 17:00 to 08:00 on week days and 24 hours for week-ends and
public holidays. The after hours consultant has real time access to all reservations made
by Grindrod Travel including car hire and hotel reservations. This service is also
available to make new reservations and assist with the issuing of air tickets and
vouchers once approval is obtained.
VALUE ADDED SERVICES DELIVERIES
All deliveries will be
carried out by a recognised service provider or a Grindrod Travel driver. Urgent after-hours
deliveries will be handled by our senior staff members.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
All accounts are
allocated to an account executive who will monitor and visit the relevant offices to ensure that
all policies and procedures are being adhered to. Any problems/concerns will be addressed
immediately. Senior management will also be available at all times to assist with
regards to problem solving, cost saving and recommendations.
MANAGEMENT REPORTING
Grindrod Travel's
reservation and management system allows for detailed reports which can provide information on
any aspect of the customers travel business and will be tailored to your needs.
TRAVEL POLICY
Grindrod Travel will
assist with the implementation and modification of a Travel Policy to ensure that all
procedures are adhered to thus ensuring the customers objectives are met. The Travel policy will
also clearly define the authorisation guidelines and approval for all travellers.
